Now this is interesting (well as interesting as insurance gets!)
My original policy book is worded as: Not Insured: Mechanically-propelled or assisted vehicles (except domestic gardening equipment, electric wheelchairs, pedestrian-controlled models and toys), trailers, caravans, watercraft (including surfboards and sailboards), hovercraft, aircraft (other than hand propelled or models) or their accessories or parts. So quite clearly accessories and parts would not be covered. However in the last renewal there was the following additional definition: Motorised Vehicles Any vehicle or toy propelled by a motor of any kind, except for the following whilst being used for their intended purposeand by a person for which they were designed: Domestic Gardening Equipment, Motorised wheelchairs and Mobility Scooters, Electrically powered children's ride on toys, Electrically assisted pedal cycles and pedestrian controlled vehicles. That definition is indicated as being added to the 'Not insured' section. So this new 'Motorised Vehicles' definition seems to encompass a lot of those items described in the original text, but not accessories and parts. However what is not clear is whether this new definition supersede's the original text, or is in addition. This policy is with the nodding dog company.

Apologies for you guys who took the time of replying to my post. I did read them at the time and they were of benefit - thank you, but I did forget to post my thank you! So sorry for leaving this so long before thanking you now!
We have been working on our houshold offering and we do have an endorsement that gives cover for the car stuff we all have in our garage that most standard houshold contents covers don't cover. So if anyone would like to test the water give us a call and mention the car club houshold endorsement. It would be great to test the competitiveness of the rates and cover aganst real live quotes. All the best to you all! Oh and one last plug. A recent Supra owner told one of my staff we were the only people he could find that gave the agreed value option on JDM models. Is this right?

We will of course be as sympathetic as we can. Just reminding myself of the reason for my forum name .... "118.86 over 8.9 miles and at one point we were indicating 139 and you were moving away....." I still have nightmares.... Hence the track bike and track car now ... And the boring auto everyday car ... No more FQ320 for me as I can't be trusted. Boo hoo.
