Rototest Dyno Upgrade Arrived
We are pleased to announce the commissioning of an upgrade to our Rototest chassis dynamometer.
Among improvements to the functionallity of the machine, we now have the following new capabilities: 1. The ability to simulate real life road conditions which take into account factors such as the drag co-efficient, vehicle mass, rolling friction, frontal area etc to enable accurate top speed runs and acceleration rates to be measured. 2. The performance capacity has been increased to: Two wheel drive: + Continuous steady state braking power 1475hp + Continuous steady state braking torque 4600Nm +Top speed 251 mph +Torque measuring accuracy +/- 1% Four wheel drive: + Continuous steady state braking power 1459hp to 2205hp (depending on transmission torque split) + Continuous steady state braking torque 2950Nm to 6600Nm (depending on transmission torque split) +Top speed 205 mph +Torque measuring accuracy +/- 1% Please note the maximum braking power and torque is substantially increased when testing in "sweep" mode. Sorry, I don't know how to post pictures on here so please take a look at http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/for...=0&#entry28219 Thanks for reading
