Default New Supra on its way!

Hey guys

My names James and ive just last week gone and ordered myself a nice MKiv RZ 6 speed totally bone standard (and thats the way i intend to keep her!)
Ive had a few Toyotas previously including an SW20 MR2 and a GS300 Sport so Im hoping the 6sp continues my upward rise in the toyota hierarchy!
Look forward to meeting some of you guys at shows this summer!

I dont know if any of you guys might be interested by the way, but since i sold my GS, I got a nice set of GS300 Sport 18s (the multi spoke with wider rears) sitting in my shed...i bought them brand new for the GS, but it wasnt really a nice enough car to put them on...plus i was worried that ol blightys roads would simply corrode the finish...
Any ideas on what these are worth?

Cheers
James

Hi James and welcome to the club, hope all goes well with your new Supra when it arrives, don't forget to post a few pictures.

Regarding the GS Sport wheels, not sure on values but they are quite sought after and fetch pretty good money on e bay. They are a very good replacement for Supra OEM wheels so I wouldn't be in any hurry to sell them as you might fancy trying them on yours when it arrives.

Check out our future events section for shows and meets, would be nice to meet and you can be assured of a warm welcome.

Enjoy your Supra

cheers for the welcome guys! Ill put some pics up as soon as my contact in Japan sends em to me!

With regards to the wheels, i prefer the standard Toyota wheels to be honest. Also i dont really want to be splashing out on 18" tyres!

Welcome to the club mate!

I give you til 5 minutes into your first show/meet with the club for the preference for the standard wheels to wear off - the array of quality alloys on show from some of the club members is pretty tasty! Plus we're all waiting to see the pics of Dunk's car on standard wheels - that might change your mind! lol

In terms of tyre prices I believe correct fitment tyres for the OEM wheels can be more expensive than 18" tyres cos they're odd Japanese sizes that hardly anyone stocks.... might be wrong but I know some people have found that's the case with the smaller Jap alloys.

If you still want to sell the Lexus alloys and you decide on a price let me know as I am interested depending on available funds.....

And as everyone else has said - get some pics of this new car up mate!

Hey dude
I was just going to go with UK spec 17s and UK spec brakes as my mods. Im not really into modifying as such...i would rather spend the money on fuel and with the prices these days, my 50 quid of fuel aint gonna get me as far!
Tyres for the OEM 17s are pretty plentiful tbh in 235/45 and 255/40 so i got no concerns there!
With regards to the wheels, check the FS section as I need them gone so I can pay the shipping on the car!

If fuel prices near you are like they are near me mate your £50 will get you just over half a tank and that'll be gone by the time you get to the next garage! When you said OEM alloys I thought you meant the staggered 16's that I believe are standard on Jap cars and come into the country fitted with horrible knobbly tyres that look like they came off a motocross bike!

Didn't realise the GS wheels were a 10j rear - too wide for me mate, don't want to compromise the handling that much!

Welcome James. When I first bought my car I told everyone I wasn't going to modify it, and if we're honest most of us have said the same, give it time
