Exclamation Do Luck Front Bumper

Hi

I am desperate to find a place that specialises in fibreglass bodykits that is in or around sheffield. Will travel if not too far. I have had it in at one garage and they told me it rubs on the wheels if fitted in the proper position. When moved forward to miss the wheels there are big gaps at the front.

I think some of the bumper will need cutting away and finishing off again. Does anyone know who could do this???????

I really want to have this bumper cus not as keen on most other bumper for the supra.

I am really stuck as to what to do.

Please help

Why is it such a bad fit ? surely most front bumpers are just bolt on jobs and no need for major work to make them fit.
Sorry i dont know anywhere in your area, have you tried a google search ?

I would thoroughly recommend GVN Coachworks in Chiswick , West London...albeit its some drive down from Sheffield!
They're not cheap, but have dealt with lots of MKIV Supras......used them twice now myself

here's a linky...

I hate to say this, but that sounds like a very poor quality bumper or an incompetent body shop.

If it's the former then you may struggle getting anybody to do a good shop.

Have you got any pics of the actual bumper, where did it come from?

Nope, can't say i've heard of them and a quick Google seems to indicate they are predominantly an EBay seller.

Have you tried speaking to them about the feedback that the bodyshop gave you?

Hi S. Supra

I have a do luck bumper on my car now and I know what you mean with rergards the 19" rims I'm exactly the same, They are very close to the inner black plastic trim under the arches, mine arnt rubbing but they are very close. I've had some trouble with a previous garage who fitted the do luck as they were one of those big accident repair chains and they messed me and the car about something rotten. I've now sourced a place in Stoke on Trent which is near me called Body Mech (details below) I only booked it in on Friday and they are very busy so I have to wait till 4th of June which is really annoying especially with the problems over the last few months with it. I have never used them before but from the website and the cars and jobs he has undertaken before he seems to have a very good reputation on the "boy racer" circuit within Stoke as most of the guys with body kits go there and they do look very nice!

Chell St, Stoke-on-Trent, ST1 6AZ - 01782 205220

Hope this might help
Tim

P.s as a return favour can anyone tell me if you can directly bolt on a TRD spoiler in the same holes as a veilside one! thanks
